By accessing, downloading or using any of the software products offered by Irwin Rodriguez, under the trade name irwinrodriguez.dev (the "Provider"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, do not use the products or the services.
Every license is perpetual and non-exclusive: the version you buy keeps working indefinitely. What changes from one product to another is the unit being licensed, and it is worth checking before you buy:
Every purchase includes twelve months of maintenance. Maintenance does not decide whether the product keeps working: it decides how far up the versions you go. Your license entitles you to every version published up to the day it runs out, and the portal applies that rule on download, serving you the latest one you are entitled to. Renewing is optional and is arranged by writing to soporte@irwinrodriguez.dev.
Licenses are personal and are not transferred to third parties: they are not resold, assigned or sublicensed.
That does not rule out two things that are handled, always in writing to soporte@irwinrodriguez.dev: reissuing a machine-bound license when you change computers, and looking at a transfer of ownership when what changes is the owning company, for instance in a sale or a merger. The first is routine; the second is looked at case by case.
Not every product has a trial, and the ones that do say so on their page. Where there is one it lasts thirty days, one per person and product, and it requires an account with a verified email address.
Deployment licenses (Runtime) and Golem have no trial. Golem is evaluated without a license: the client runs in evaluation mode, with the query tools and one live connection at a time; the tools that act on the remote machine require a license.
When a trial runs out, the product goes back to its unlicensed mode, which is not the same for all of them: each product page describes what remains available. Nothing has to be uninstalled.
The following is prohibited:
.lic file with third parties.The software, its source code, its documentation and the associated materials are the exclusive property of the Provider and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Buying a license transfers no ownership right over the software.
The software is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Provider is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the software.
Nothing in this section limits the rights that consumer law grants to anyone buying as a consumer.
The Provider may revoke a license if these terms are breached. The revocation is notified to the license holder and takes effect from that moment.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you buy as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of your country of habitual residence.
For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of the Provider's domicile, unless the law imposes a different venue, as it does for consumers.

Payments, invoicing and VAT are handled by Paddle as merchant of record: the invoice shows Paddle as the seller. Depending on your country, tax is either included in the price (the European Union and the United Kingdom, for example) or added at checkout (the United States and Canada, for example); either way it is shown before you pay.
