Production deployment

Run your FoxServer application on Windows Server as a service, with automatic startup and no active user session.

No endpoint limits

Publish as many controllers and REST routes as you need. The runtime does not limit the number of endpoints per application.

No user counting

The license counts neither users nor requests. What sets the pace is your hardware: the pool serves 2 to 8 requests at a time per server, each in its own VFP environment.

Per server, or per company

Each runtime covers one production server, and the 5-server pack lowers the per-server cost. A software house buys the ISV license: one per company, with the company as the holder, shipped inside its installer and covering every customer and every installation with no servers to count.

Signed and offline

A signed JWT you copy to config\foxserver.lic, in the FoxServer installation folder. It is validated locally, with no online activation and no phone-home.

Same engine as FoxServer

The runtime runs the exact same X#/.NET engine you use in development. What works on your machine works in production.

Develop with FoxServer Dev

Build and test your application with the FoxServer Developer license. All functionality is available in development.

Get the runtimes

Buy one runtime per production server (1 or 5), or the ISV license if you ship your application to your customers. Download the .lic file from your customer portal.

Deploy to production

Copy the .lic to config\foxserver.lic, at the root of the FoxServer installation, and start the service. With a Runtime license the server accepts requests from any origin.

Pricing

One-time payment and a perpetual license, with twelve months of updates: the version you buy works forever. Per production server, or the ISV license for a whole software house. Renewing maintenance is optional (the figure is under each price), and you ask for it by writing to soporte@irwinrodriguez.dev.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need one runtime per server?

With the per-server licenses, yes: the single license covers one production server and the 5-server pack covers five. If you are a software house and your application is installed on your customers' servers, the ISV license is a single one per company and counts no servers.

What is the ISV license?

The one for software houses that sell their FoxServer application to their customers. It is one per company, with your company as the holder. It ships inside your installer and covers every customer and every installation. It follows the same model as FoxAgent Runtime.

Can I use the runtime for development?

No, and not the other way round either: a Developer license answers 403 to every request that does not come from 127.0.0.1, so it is no good for deploying. Two licenses for two different things.

Is the license perpetual?

Yes. You pay once and the version you buy works forever. It includes twelve months of updates; after that, annual maintenance is optional (100 € for the single server, 450 € for the 5-server pack and 1,000 € for the ISV) and is what entitles you to the versions published later.

What if I need more than 5 servers?

Licenses add up: two 5-server packs cover ten servers. If what you do is ship your application to your customers, the ISV license is the one that fits. For anything else, write to me at soporte@irwinrodriguez.dev.

Does it require online activation?

No. The .lic is validated locally against a public key inside the binary. Your server needs no internet access to run, and there is no telemetry.
