An AI agent working with you in XIDE, and my tools for XIDE in one menu.
If you write X# in XIDE, the agent cannot see your IDE: you paste the code, it gives you different code back, and you build it yourself. wxForge connects XIDE to FoxAgent, and the agent works in the same XIDE you have open: it reads and changes your code, builds, reads the errors and fixes them, designs forms and manages the project. You see what it changes in the editor or the designer right away, and you undo it with Ctrl+Z.

This part needs FoxAgent 2.0 or later, which is installed separately and registers FoxAgent in Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex and OpenCode. With FoxAgent installed, wxForge connects XIDE by itself when it starts, and the agent has 41 tools for XIDE: the project and its applications (new ones too, from XIDE's templates), their files and references, the editor, the form designer, building, the Errors and Output pads, running a console application, the X# evaluator, the themes and XIDE's menu. You talk to it as usual:
The agent works with role 90, the whole IDE: there is a developer in front of it. You can lower it from the menu. Every connected XIDE counts as one instance of your FoxAgent license.
Want the agent to see your applications while they run too? Meet FoxAgent →
You do not need FoxAgent to use wxForge: the themes, the evaluator, the GUIDs, the references, the favorites and the cleaning work on their own. Without FoxAgent, the FoxAgent menu says so and everything else stays the same.
Step 1 matters: Windows blocks the files of a ZIP that comes from the internet, and with a blocked plugin DLL XIDE closes right after it starts, without any message. If that happens, unblock Plugins\wxForge.dll the same way. The full guide, in English, Spanish and German, is inside the ZIP.
It is tested with XIDE 3.0.6. The form designer tools use XIDE's own classes: with another version they may answer with an error, but they do not stop XIDE.
It is an XIDE plugin in a ZIP, with no installer and nothing registered in Windows. If you want to check that it is the file I published, its SHA-256 is below.
No. wxForge reads sources as UTF-8 and writes new files in the project's PRG encoding. For X# I recommend UTF8, in the project's properties.
Close XIDE and delete Plugins\wxForge.dll and the Plugins\wxForge folder.
XIDE 3.0.6 on Windows. To work with an agent, FoxAgent 2.0 or later and an MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex or OpenCode. MIT license.
