Golem

Golem gives Claude temporary, on-demand access to another Windows machine: run PowerShell, move files, look at the screen, manage services, register DLLs, run the .ps1 scripts you leave it and serve the MCP servers already on that machine.

It shuts itself down after 30 minutes with no requests, leaving nothing installed.

Golem has no 30-day trial: without a license the client starts in evaluation mode, with the tools that look (files, processes, services, screenshots, logs) and one live connection at a time. The tools that act (PowerShell, stopping services, starting processes, writing files) need a license. No sign-up needed.

Two pieces

Golem is two files of one and the same binary. Each goes on a different machine:

FileWhere it livesWhat it isHow it gets there
golem-client.exe The machine where you use Claude The client: the bridge between Claude and the agent. This is what is licensed Golem-Client-Setup-1.6.0.exe, direct download, no account
golem.exe The machine you want to drive The agent. Free, no license The server kit, which downloads openly

In this section

  • Installation: install the client, get your machine ID and put the license in place.
  • Quick Start: connect Claude to an agent and use it from Claude Desktop or Claude Code.
  • Server kit: what the kit brings, how the agent starts and what it writes down.
  • Guardian: getting into your customers' servers with nobody in front of them, with Golem Company.
  • Licensing: what is licensed, evaluation mode, maintenance and renewal.

The license, in two lines

What you buy is the client: per technician (249 €, bound to their machine) or per team, from 3 technicians to a whole company (599 € to 2,490 €, a company license not bound to a machine). One-time payment, with 12 months of maintenance. Without a license it runs in evaluation mode, with the tools that look and one live connection at a time; the tools that act on the remote machine need a license.

Requirements

WhereWhat you need
Technician's machineWindows, and Claude Desktop or Claude Code. The installer does not ask for administrator.
Remote machineWindows. Nothing to install: golem.exe is a single executable with everything inside (about 92 MB).
NetworkThe client has to reach the agent's port (8797 by default) or, when there is no port to open, the Cloudflare tunnel the kit brings.
